Friendship.

Over the past 18 months, our social circles have changed.   Friend groups have morphed to “pods,” and social distancing altered how we gather.

The research firm Unacast analyzed GPS data from millions of cellphones, showing Americans gathered in groups 80 percent less than we did pre-pandemic.

This made me stop and think. Friendship is so special, so human, and yet we spend less time together in friendship now.

As we look to Thanksgiving, to a traditional holiday for families, let’s also celebrate friendship.

Think about those we are truly connected to. Thank them, let them know, and share gratitude. Let’s also be intentional about reconnecting.

My hope is you all find ways to celebrate friendship this Thanksgiving and come back ready for a strong #GivingTuesday!
